QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE

Botox (botulinum toxin) and DYSPORT in Portland are prescription medications which, when injected into muscles, block the signal from the nerve to the muscle, which temporarily prevents contraction of the muscles that cause dynamic facial wrinkles. BOTOX  is an FDA approved injection to temporarily smooth moderate to severe forehead lines, crow’s feet and glabellar frown lines in adults. DYSPORT is FDA approved to soften and smooth glabellar frown lines.

There may be some mild discomfort associated with a BOTOX or DYSPORT treatment. We do everything possible to keep you comfortable, including the application of a cold compress before each injection. If you are extremely sensitive, we have topical anesthetic cream available.

Portland, Oregon patients will experience no down-time, just be careful to not rub the area for a few days and don’t go for an intense workout right afterward.

Please disclose to your practitioner if you have any: muscle or nerve conditions, including but not limited to: myasthenia gravis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome; bleeding disorders, or if you take anticoagulants for blood-thinning medications. Understanding BOTOX® Costs in Portland, Oregon

BOTOX® in Portland, Oregon metropolitan costs between $12-$17 per unit. Some providers may offer deals or special membership pricing on BOTOX. Well-qualified providers sourcing FDA-certified BOTOX® will not offer anything cheaper. BOTOX® injections are a medical procedure and are applied mostly for facial rejuvenation, so always go to a reputable provider.

We offer BOTOX® at $14 per unit, and the prices are lower for members. However, it is crucial to understand that the total cost of treatment is highly individualized. During your consultation, we will discuss your specific starting point and cosmetic goals, which influence the number of injections necessary to achieve the desired correction.

The cost in your case will depend on the area treated and the number of units used. This is determined by the movement of the muscles in the treated area, which varies significantly from one person to another. We provide an estimate at the time of consultation. Anywhere between 20-100 units could be used to address your concerns, emphasizing the customized approach we take for every patient.

Remember, while the base cost per unit might provide a general idea, the actual expense is best assessed during a personal consultation. This ensures you receive a tailored treatment plan that aligns with your unique facial structure and aesthetic aspirations. Hence, a  fixed cost can’t be provided before a consultation because each patient has unique cosmetic needs and starting conditions, which affect the treatment plan and the number of BOTOX® injections required.

We offer all the choices but recommend BOTOX for most of our patients. Some patients prefer XEOMIN or DYSPORT as these neurotoxins work better for them.  XEOMIN and DYSPORT are a little cheaper than BOTOX too but not to a degree that it should be a deciding factor.

BOTOX is approved for patients who are 18 years and older but most qualified providers advise that patients in their mid to late 20s and early 30s are at a good age for preventative BOTOX treatment. People above 18 years of age can get a lip flip (popular in younger clients).

No.

You may, but we would clean the entire area before the treatment.

Ideally, you should shower 6-8 hours after a BOTOX treatment. Do not go into a hot-tub or steam room of at least 24 hours after the treatment. When showering within the first 24 hours, do not make the water very hot and do not rub the treated area.

If this is your first time experiencing BOTOX® then we advise that you let the BOTOX® settle in your body (4-6 hours) and then enjoy any alcoholic beverage. For repeat clients who have had BOTOX® injections before, there are no such constraints.

A lip flip is a way to achieve fuller looking lips without injecting dermal fillers. The procedure entails BOTOX® injections into the upper lip to relax the muscles and “flip” the lip upward. It’s a less expensive option than a dermal (lip) filler because it uses very few units of BOTOX® (around 5 units)

Yes. If a provider in Portland, OR offers BOTOX and does not offer Allē then you should avoid this place. Not participating in Allē is a clear indication that the provider is not sourcing BOTOX from the authorized sources in Portland, OR.

There is very little research on this topic. We would however lean towards safety and recommend that you avoid it during these periods.

Treating the face can take anywhere from 10-50 units of Botox.

Baby Botox is a treatment style where less units of Botox is injected. Some people prefer this to a look that shows all wrinkles flattened. This is a personal choice and our experts will be able to guide to to make the right decision.

No. We do offer some special deals to our clients every now and then but we do not offer anything in Groupon. Our pricing is very competitive and a great value for the service we provide.

Our guidance would be to ask the provider for  Allē® points. If they do not, then that is a red flag.

Forest Heights: Our clients come from far and beyond because they love our service and treatment. Having said that, we are favorite choice for clients living in the Bethany area and Raleigh Hills in addition to folks residing in the Forest Heights neighborhood. From Bethany, take the back road Laidlaw all the way to Thomson and then turn in Miller.

Alameda: Alameda is very central for all of our clients living in Portland metropolitan area. Most places are 20 min or less. We are close to Highway I5 and I84.

BOTOX® is a powerful tool for reducing the appearance of wrinkles, but it has its limitations. Specifically, it doesn’t tackle issues related to skin pigmentation or texture. Conditions such as uneven skin tone, discoloration, and rough skin aren’t effectively treated with BOTOX®. For these concerns, treatments like Secret RF Micro needling  are more suitable, offering solutions to improve skin color irregularities and textural inconsistencies.

How to Get Ready for BOTOX® Injections

Preparing for BOTOX® injections is straightforward, but there are a few key steps to ensure the procedure goes smoothly.

First, consult your medical history with your provider. Make sure to discuss any allergies, medical conditions, and medications or supplements you’re currently taking. Some substances, especially blood thinners, can increase the risk of bruising and bleeding at the injection site.

It may be necessary to cease taking blood thinners a few days before your appointment, but only under your doctor’s guidance. Additionally, avoid consuming alcohol and anti-inflammatory medications, like aspirin, which can also exacerbate bruising.

Lastly, come to your appointment with a clean face, free of makeup or skincare products, to help maintain a sterile environment for the injections.

By following these guidelines, you’ll be all set for a safe and effective BOTOX® experience.

Who is a Good Candidate for BOTOX®?

BOTOX® is an excellent option for adults looking to temporarily address specific issues, like wrinkles or fine lines. Ideal candidates are those who are in good overall health without active skin infections or serious medical conditions. Additionally, it’s important that they aren’t allergic to any ingredients in BOTOX® or taking medications that may interfere with the treatment.

However, this treatment may not be suitable for everyone. Individuals with neuromuscular disorders, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and anyone experiencing general unwellness should avoid BOTOX®. Always consult with a healthcare provider to determine if this treatment is right for you.
