BOTOX FAQS

Your questions answered.

Most Portland-area practices charge between roughly $12-$17 per unit.  Our lowest price is for members and clients who buy the Botox package ($12 per unit) A typical treatment area (like the "11s" between the brows) runs about 20 units, while a full forehead-plus-crow's-feet treatment can use around 64 units, putting full treatment in the $500-$800 range. The exact amount always depends on your individual muscle strength and goals, determined at a consultation. Some practices add a service fee on top of it so pay close attention. But the most important aspect of getting a Botox treatment is the experience of the injector and the results you will get. In the end, its your face and you want to look natural and good.

Most patients see results lasting about 3-4 months before gradually wearing off.

Appointments typically take 15-20 minutes, and most patients return to work or errands right

Patients should disclose any muscle or nerve conditions (like myasthenia gravis, ALS, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome) and bleeding disorders or use of blood thinners before treatment. It's also not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals.

These are the ones most people experience, and they typically resolve on their own within days:

  • Pain, bruising, and redness around the injection site
  • Headaches
  • Droopy eyelids, dry skin, and dry eye
  • For cosmetic use specifically, the most frequently reported issues are temporary lack of full effect, injection site reactions, and ptosis (eyelid drooping)

Botox is FDA-approved for excessive underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis) and can significantly reduce sweat for several months.
