    A facial is a regular skin care treatment that needs to be combined by in-home skin care to enhance the results. For most of our clients, a facial is recommended once in 4 weeks.

    Absolutely, men can benefit from a facial too. Moreover, it is a very relaxing experience, so why would you not do it?

    At Riviére Med Spa Portland a facial includes deep cleansing with a facial massage and manual exfoliating scrub, ultrasonic exfoliation, extractions (if desired) , customized mask, shoulder massage + scalp massage (If desired) , LED and hand massage.

    Results of a facial will last about 4 weeks. That is why we recommend getting a facial is about the same time such that you can keep your skin nourished and glowing.

    Yes, facials like any other skin treatment can cause skin allergies if not performed correctly. Our well-trained estheticians have years of product knowledge and are up to date with all services provided.

    A facial does more than just wash off dirt. It deeply cleans to remove toxins and bacteria. It removes dead skin cells and provides advanced ingredients to fight off different concerns. It leaves your skin glowing and healthier.

    You should stop retinol 3 days prior to the HydraFacial treatment. If you do home-based peels then you should stop those too.

    Facial treatments require that you do not wash away your face quickly. The serums and masks need to be absorbed by the skin. So based on your schedule decide on a time that will let you do that.

    Wear comfortable clothing, don’t use harsh exfoliants prior, know the names of the skincare products you use, avoid sun exposure, avoid tanning, be prepared to discuss skin care concerns and what your goals are, try not to wear excess makeup.

    Before since you want the products to penetrate into your skin. Showering before helps loosen your pores and prepares your body to detox.
