CHEEK FILLERS

The procedure for cheek fillers is quick and easy, taking less than half an hour, and recovery time is minimal The results are seen right away and can last up to 1 year depending on the type of filler used. Cheek fillers can be used to add volume to flat or sagging cheeks, make facial features more symmetrical, and smooth out wrinkles and creases in your face.

CHIN FILLERS

Chin fillers are a type of nonsurgical cosmetic procedure that can be used to enhance the appearance of the chin and jawline. They involve injecting temporary dermal fillers into the soft tissue under the skin to give a weak chin more definition, balance facial features, restore lost volume, smooth wrinkles, or fill in a cleft.

JUVEDERM AND RESTYLANE

There are many brands of fillers available in the market. Two principal manufacturers of injectable filler are Allergan and Galderma  We carry both Allergan’s  Juvéderm, a family of hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers for long-lasting correction of facial wrinkles and folds and also Galderma’s Restylane, and its family of competitive HA dermal fillers. We also carry  Revannesse line of Versa fillers.

Fillers can get expensive when treating different areas of the face. One may require 4-5 syringes. We have a great option for financing which can ease the payment for such treatments. You can qualify for interest free credit for up to 6 months.

QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE

Dermal Fillers are used to plump up thinning lips or make them look really plump and luscious (some clients want it that way),  enhance or fill in shallow areas on the face such as the cheek region or under-eye region,  decrease or remove the shadow or wrinkle under the eyes caused by the lower eyelid (tear trough), fill in some scar lines, enhance the chin region or soften some of the wrinkles in the lower face region.

With the injection of dermal fillers, can:

  • Augment cheekbones, jawline, and other areas of the facial features.
  • Add volume to thin lips for a smoother and more plump appearance.
  • Soften wrinkles and creases in the face for a more youthful appearance.
  • Fill in tear troughs under the eyes.
  • Smooth wrinkles around the nose and mouth.
  • Add volume to aging hands.

Our highly skilled injector can provide this treatment as part of your overall skin renewal plan.

A topical anesthetic will end up being applied before the procedure to reduce pain during treatment. The region will be spotless just before the treatment begins, and a topical anesthetic will be used to minimize discomfort. Lidocaine, a mild anesthetic, is available in many filler injections. It’s added to the product to aid discomfort before and after treatment. Your highly-trained provider will then inject a precise quantity of filler precisely below the skin layer around the mouth. The filler may be smoothed out with minimal massage treatment.

Injections of dermal fillers are sometimes unpleasant. As a result, the Rivière Med Spa clinic in Portland will apply a topical anesthetic cream before injection. In addition, a cool compress is available for application to help reduce swelling in the treated area of your skin. There are also available lidocaine injections if you are particularly sensitive. Consultation with a Dr. is vital to determine if you have any allergic reactions to Botox.

Dermal fillers consist of gel-like substances, such as hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite, and poly-L-lactic acid, that your doctor injects beneath the skin. Dermal filler are FDA approved and are deemed very safe.

There are primarily three types of Dermal and Lip Fillers in Portland, OR. Your expert injector will advise you on what will treat your condition best. Please let us know if you have any allergies. We explain some technicalities next to get you better educated.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA)

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance already found in your skin. It helps keep skin plump and hydrated. HA fillers are typically soft and gel-like. The results are temporary, lasting 6 to 12 months or longer before the body gradually and naturally absorbs the particles. Most HA fillers are infused with lidocaine to help minimize discomfort during and after treatment. FDA approved HA fillers include:

  • Juvéderm products: Juvéderm Ultra XC, Juvederm Ultra Plus XC, Juvederm VOLUMA
  • Restylane products: Restylane-L, Restylane Kysse, Restylane Silk, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Refyne, and Restylane Defyne

Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA)

Calcium hydroxylapatite is also a naturally occurring substance found primarily in bones. When used as a filler, the calcium particles are nearly microscopic and suspended in a smooth gel. The consistency of a CaHA filler is typically thicker than that of a hyaluronic acid filler and will typically last longer as well, about 12 months for most patients. Calcium hydroxylapatite is also reported to help stimulate natural collagen production, and it generally is used for cheek and jaw augmentation or deeper lines and wrinkles. FDA-approved CaHA fillers include Radiesse®.

Poly-L-lactic Acid

Poly-L-lactic acid is a biocompatible (meaning it is safe to use in the body), biodegradable synthetic substance. It has been used for many years in medical devices, such as dissolvable stitches. Poly-L-lactic acid products are technically classified as “collagen stimulators,” as their primary mechanism to smooth fine lines is by helping your skin rebuild natural collagen—the filler gel itself dissipates a few days after treatment. Poly-L-lactic acid is typically used to treat deep facial wrinkles by adding volume to soft tissue, and results can last more than two years. Poly-L-lactic acid fillers include Sculptra® Aesthetic.

Your provider will help create a personalized plan, depending on your targeted areas and goals. For example, softer fillers will be used in places like the lips, while firmer fillers will be used for cheekbones. Botox is not a facial filler but can be used simultaneously with certain facial fillers to complement the effects and maximize the results.

Even though BOTOX and Fillers address facial concerns and can some times be used to treat wrinkles etc., the way they act is very different. It is best that you consult an expert. Many times, a combination treatment can best help you achieve the results you are after.

Fillers come in syringes of 1ml or 1.2ml. The pricing is per syringe. Most reputed providers price their fillers between $500-$800 per syringe. Our regular price for a dermal filler is $699 per syringe. We do run offers every now and then, so please call us. Our members also enjoy a special discount.

Results last about 6-8 months, sometimes longer.

Yes. Once the effect of fillers wane (6-9 months) the lips will recede to what they were before fillers. If you want to keep those lips looking the same, we recommend that you refresh your fillers every 6-7 months.

Well done treatments give you a natural look. Some clients want to get a lot of filler, so their lips do look more plump than normal lips would look.
